About the Show
A soul-stirring concert experience that reimagines music as a bridge between generations, genres, and hearts.
Let Love Lead is Electric Root’s newest production - an immersive, emotionally rich concert experience that draws on the musical traditions that have shaped our cultural soundscape. The show invites audiences of all ages into a multigenerational celebration of connection, reflection, and joy.
Led by acclaimed vocalists Brianna Thomas, C. Anthony Bryant, and Charenee Wade, Let Love Lead transforms the stage into a space of warmth, welcome, and communal spirit. Together, they offer a dynamic, feel-every-note kind of performance that uplifts the contributions of Black musical excellence, not as a genre, but as an essential and beloved force within our collective creative legacy, while illuminating its continued relevance in today’s world.
Premiered to a near-capacity audience at The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s MetLiveArts series in February 2025, Let Love Lead follows the success of our two-year national tour of The Sound of (Black) Music, a groundbreaking production voted Best of Theater 2021 by The New York Times. The Sound of (Black) Music tour transformed stages into classrooms and opened minds to the brilliance of Afrofuturism, with its premiere at Bard College, and performances at Stanford Live, Lincoln Center, a nearly sold-out evening at The Music Center at Strathmore, and many more. We also proudly opened the 2025 Bryant Park Picnic Performances season in New York City.
With Let Love Lead, we bring that same standard of artistic excellence, cultural relevance, and deep community engagement into a new chapter. This is more than a concert. It’s a strategic collaboration rooted in Electric Root’s Radical Hospitality model. Presenters gain access to Electric Root’s Radical Hospitality model: a proven, flexible framework for building meaningful partnerships with local artists and institutions, inviting members of the African Diaspora to join us onstage and connect the performance to your community’s cultural ecosystem. We view each engagement as an opportunity to co-create a multigenerational, multicultural experience that reflects and uplifts your community, while supporting diversified audience building and deeper audience investment.
When you book Let Love Lead, you’re not just booking world-class vocalists and musicians who’ve graced the most prestigious stages in the world. You’re gaining the partnership of a robust and experienced team of influencers, content creators, educators, production specialists, and community engagers who are committed to maximizing every artistic, digital, and cultural touchpoint.
This is not just a tribute. It’s an invitation to feel deeply, reflect communally, and let love be your guide.
