Black Roots Summer
RESEARCH RESIDENCY, ARTIST RESIDENCY & PRODUCTION
We organized a cross-genre series of concerts for Bard SummerScape 2021. More than 20 artists, singers, musicians, and dancers premiered three original concerts providing healing, enlightenment, and inspiration after a year of lockdown and uprisings for racial justice.
Residency at Penn State University
RESEARCH RESIDENCY, ARTIST RESIDENCY & PRODUCTION
Mwenso & the Shakes have been in residency at the Center for Performing Arts at Penn State University. Starting in 2020 we have collaborated to create a three year festival called The Fierce Urgency Festival.
